Repeat Prescriptions

Patients on repeat medication will receive a computer-printed prescription with an attached re-order form.

How Do I Order My Prescription?

Always use your re-order slip and TICK the items you require.

When will my prescription be ready to collect?

Your prescriptions will take two full working days to process

What If I Don’t Have A Re-Order Slip?

We can still help. Please write out your request giving:

Name, date-of-birth, address, home telephone number

  • Name of medication
  • Strength of tablets
  • Quantity of medication needed

Ordering By Post?

If you enclose a stamped, addressed envelope, we will post the prescription back to you. You should allow a week to get your prescription back.

Ordering Online

If you have not already signed up for online services you will need to register for this - please ask a receptionist regarding this and they will be able to issue you with a password. This applies to children also. Once registered you can order via the link at the top of this page.

Can I Telephone?

We cannot take prescription requests by telephone because of the risk of owing to safety reasons.

Electronic Prescriptions

Patients are able to visit your local chemist and nominate them to receive your prescription electronically instead of physically.  This system still required you to give us 2 working days (48hrs) notice to process your prescription request before going to your nominated chemist for collection.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.  Please ensure that you book an appointment for a review so that there are no delays with your medication.

What if I’m Going on Holiday and Need to Order my Prescription Earlier?

No problem. As long as you let us know in time – please don’t leave it to the last minute!
